I am an artist and animal and nature lover. I am kind and gentle, and cannot stand drama or a bad temper or cruelty to anyone. My friends consider me attractive and say l am much younger looking and acting than my age implies, and that my birth certificate is certainly incorrect!! All of my friends are at least a decade younger than l, and l’ll always be a kid at heart! l take care of myself physically and mentally and my interests keep me engaged with life! I’m very active and manage my farm and animals by myself! l love anything to do with the arts, both visual, and preforming, musicals and museums! I am addicted to audiobooks and love music from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s, older country music, the blues, bluegrass, old time rock and roll and of course folk!! I l love farmers markets, craft fairs and music festivals, and any equine events! I live on my farm near the Tryon International Equestrian center. I miss coffee houses and singer songwriters who played acoustic guitars, put poetry to music, and had profound things to say. I have a wicked sense of humor, do not take myself too seriously, and can be down right goofy! I prefer being casual and wearing jeans, but l can be elegant when dressed to the nines and in my heels! The older l get the more l need peace and simplicity. I’m not crazy about crowds and traffic really bothers me! If you have a horse, can play the guitar and sing…l’ll follow you anywhere! I prefer the country to the city (having lived in both), l love funky little restaurants (the kind only the locals know about), l enjoy long drives down country roads, exploring sleepy little country towns and peely paint antique and junk stores. I’d love to go metal detecting, and digging for artifacts! Day trips work better for me now because of my animals. I love trail riding and biking). l used to live on the beach in Charleston and l loved that too! Fear of hurricanes sent me to the North Carolina mountains) l love hiking with my German Shepherd, dog training, raising orphan baby animals, (I should have been a veterinarian) and decorating the different homes l’ve had—l’ve moved a lot. My bucket list consists of hang gliding, a hot air balloon ride, going on a cattle drive out west, and swimming with the dolphins while listening to Jimmy Buffet. A man who is sensitive and can cry at sad movies, is a real man in my book! I am attracted to a man who is funny, (a great sense of humor is a must!), is friendly and outgoing with a a big personality, who is educated, creative and has absolutely no temper or drama, who smells good (why don’t men wear aftershave or cologne anymore?) who is clean and well groomed even in his jeans, who cares about his appearance, especially his health, tries to eat a reasonable diet, and loves loves loves animals, especially horses and dogs!!! A man who loves to cuddle around a fire on a chiiiy night, eat popcorn in bed while watching a scary movie, holds hands on moonlight walks, and slow dances after a romantic candlelight dinner for two will turn me on! I grew up in an extremely loving and affectionate family with lots of hugs and kisses! I need to give and receive great back rubs! I want to go solar and be independent. I consider myself spiritual rather than religious. l am not into sports, so don’t expect me to watch football on TV. No NASCAR or motorcycles please.( just horses) l cannot stand to argue, and If you raise your voice l’ll leave and take my shepherd for a walk. I don’t mind doing things on my own and need quiet time and solitude to be creative, l would expect you might need the same! After being widowed for sometime, I suddenly realized how much l miss sharing my life with someone really special, a great partner with whom we can experience all of the love and wonders life still has to offer! So l just might have a soulmate somewhere after all!!Perhaps l’ve saved the best for last! Are you out there?
